AA Change is a platform for people that might not have searched for help for their drinking problem and want to be anonymous, or have tried other therapy without success.

Our mission is to help people that have come to the point that they drink too much. Many people with drinking problem never admit it or search for help. It is a big step to take, to tell your doctor or just phone to alcohol treatment center. You can feel shy to go alone to AA meeting or contact the hospital for alcohol abstinence. AAChange is an anonymous platform that is your first step to change your drinking. Our program is a cognitive behavior therapy based on relapse prevention.

AAchange offers you the tools to gain a deep understanding of your drinking problem. If you have the motivation, this program will help you in your life.

AA Change has been developed as a form of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). This type of treatment has been used since the 70s just for alcohol problems. A common form of CBT is called relapse prevention. Treatment can be given both individually and in groups, and is a recognized effective treatment according to international research.

CBT is based on the principles of both the psychology of learning and cognitive psychology. The treatment aims to teach the techniques and strategies that can be used to better manage the risk drinking. Among other things, the focus is on becoming more aware of the consequences of drinking, increase the ability to recognize and manage risks, and to find alternatives to alcohol.
